Jim Rome Hates Mark Richt
What is the deal with Jim Rome? He is constantly all over Mark Richt. What gives? Here is the most recent example.
And here's another example in case you were unaware of this trend.
Whatever. I don't know why I even care enough to post about it. The only thing I've ever enjoyed with the guy was when Jim Everett attacked him on set. That was good tv.
Credit to The Wizard of Odds for alerting me to the ping pong video.

Thomas Brown at the East-West Shrine Game
There was a period in the East-West Shrine Game where the announcers really gave Thomas Brown some love. They talked him up, showed a highlight reel, and got a sideline report from Holly Rowe.
You probably noticed Fernando Velasco in there as well. He played a good game, and actually opened a huge hole for Cory Boyd on his touchdown run.

Colt Brennan's Nightmare
As I started making the highlight video for the Sugar Bowl, I had an idea. I decided to first make a video depicting just how awful of a night it was for Colt Brennan. To fully grasp how bad it was, you have to first get caught up in the emotion Hawaii had going into the game. Hopefully I've captured the full spectrum of emotions from that night.
Coming soon...full highlights.

Tech Highlights
A couple things to look for.
1) The adjustment CJ Byrd makes on his INT is amazing.
2) The hustle of Knowshon to cause the fumble after the lateral mishap is amazing.
3) If Reshad Jones stayed on the sideline he runs back his INT for a TD.
4) The Thomas Brown Affair!
Thanks to the anonymous commenters who recommended the music!

Black Out Hawaii
Mark Richt just called for a blackout on ESPN. I thought this would happen, and before Richt asked for it I didn't want it. But I have to admit, it already has me pumped for the Sugar Bowl. Hawaii wants to taste Sugar; instead, they'll get a taste of this.

Georgia Tech Video Vault
I'm going to post several videos involving Georgia and Georgia Tech throughout the week. Some good and some bad.
First up we have highlights from 1995. This video includes footage from the 1995 Tennessee and Georgia Tech games. This was actually the first Georgia video I made and uploaded to YouTube.

Mercer Dismissed
Today, Mike Mercer joined the company of the following players who have been dismissed from the Georgia basketball team by Dennis Felton.
Steve Thomas
Wayne Arnold
Marcus Sikes
Younes Idrissi
Takais Brown
On the meeting between Felton and Mercer where the news was communicated, Coach Felton had this to say:
"It was more of a one-way dialogue," Felton said of the meeting. "I told him what I was doing. His first response was, 'No, no, Coach, I want to be here. Give me another chance.' I told him that I had made my mind up and I shared with him some advice to heed. I told him he should go someplace and get a second chance and start fresh. I told him what I hoped he would do to handle that and to take advantage of his next chance."
I can't really comment because I have no idea what happened. Odds are we'll never know, but Mercer must have really messed up.
As a fan of the team, this really stinks. But more than anything, I hate this for Sundiata Gaines. He deserves better. The kid has been a warrior for this program, and he keeps getting screwed by his teammates. Last year it was Levi Stukes acting a fool and being suspended for the game at Kentucky. This year the top two returning scorers are no longer on the team.
And for those of you who think losing Mercer will be addition by subtraction, and I know you are out there, I give you this.
I really, really hope the team can overcome this.

Stay Classy Florida
Since the Gators and their fans claim to know what class is all about, maybe they can explain this one. When your players pull crap like this, don't complain about a little dancing in the end zone.

Florida Highlights
I finished up the Florida highlight video. Sorry Deaner, but it's really long. But when the score is 42-30...it's hard to trim it down. Add to that the celebration that I just couldn't leave out, and the video came out to be just under 10 minutes. I don't think I'm going to do a full game recap this week. I suppose the video is better than words anyway. Just know I was incredibly happy on Saturday.

Excessively Celebrating the Excessive Celebration
I know a lot of people are upset about the storming of the field after the first touchdown, but I loved it. It is just what our team needed. So, I'm celebrating it...excessively.
Now, go back and watch that video again, and read Mark Richt's lips in the close up that starts with him smiling. He says, "Alright. Let's have some fun in this place." I love it!

Ole Miss Pics and Soulja Boy Video
My mom took a bunch of pictures at the game last weekend. Here are a few.

Redcoats pregame.

The Dawgs take the field.

Stafford back to pass.

Stafford hands off to Moreno.

Calvin Daniels breaks a long run.
Also, the Georgia Sports Blog found a video of the players dancing to Soulja Boy.
Now, if we can only get that song played over the PA at Neyland tomorrow...

Ole Miss Highlights
Special thanks to my dad for hooking me up with the footage. Unfortunately the shortened CSS replay did not include the Soulja Boy dance...

What Would Larry Do?
While I think most people enjoyed Scott Howard's call of Stafford's game winning touchdown pass to Mikey Henderson against Alabama, there were more than a few folks that couldn't help but wonder what it would have sounded like were Larry Munson in the booth. My guess is it would have sounded something like this...
For those that can't get enough of Howard's call, and I put myself in that boat, check out this free video on GeorgiaDogs.com.
